Dental implants attach artificial teeth directly to the jaw through the use of three components: the anchor (embedded into the bone); the post ; and the crown (attached to the post). They can replace one or more teeth, provide support for a partial denture, or be used to attach a full denture.

The implant process involves several steps and may take up to nine months to complete, but when you’re finished……you’ll have a tooth that looks as natural and feels as secure as your own!

Steps:
• Minor surgery to place the anchor and possibly the post
• Second surgery to place post (if not completed at first visit)
• Restorative crown impression
• Place permanent crown

There are several weeks or months in-between each step to allow time for bone growth and tissue healing.
